Second Wednesday for Moms
First Friday for Moms is now Second Wednesday for Moms (SWiM) and will still provide community and support for women raising children with special needs. Join us in-person on the Second Wednesday of the month (September-June) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. starting on Wednesday, September 9. We will discuss a variety of topics geared toward raising children with special needs. Please contact Alison Kelisek for more information.
COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY (CBS)
SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY CBS: Ruth, I&II Samuel & Ephesians
We are an interdenominational Women & Children’s Bible study. This 2026-27 class year we will be studying Ruth & I&II Samuel in the first half of the year and the book of Ephesians the second half of the year.
We will follow Ruth & Samuel on their faith journeys. They suffered the same struggles as us, such as deferred hopes & dreams, broken relationships, failures & traumas. It’s what they did with those disappointments that matters. They took their pain and anger to God, and we will see how God remained faithful.
Ephesians shows us a God of love, forgiveness & redemption. We will learn of God’s eternal plan to unite people who had been estranged from Him and one another into a beautiful community that reflects His glory to the world. This study will guide participants to engage with what it means to be reconciled to God, how that is possible, and the amazing benefits God gives as a result.
This Women/Children’s group meets at Willowdale Chapel – Jennersville Campus every Thursday morning from 9:15-11:15 and runs from September 2025 through May 2026. We have classes from birth through 5 yrs and homeschool classes for 6-14 yr olds. The homeschool classes always study the same subjects as their moms, just geared to their level. What a great way to engage & discuss the Bible with your children.

LONGWOOD CBS: GENESIS
Longwood CBS will be starting a 2-year study of the book of Genesis this year. Genesis is the story of Creation when God made the world and humanity. We will look in-depth at many stories that are familiar – the story of Adam and Eve, the fall, Noah, and finally the story of Abraham, the man who God called to leave everything and follow Him. New to CBS this year, this study is in-depth but succinct in the number of questions each week leaving time to enjoy more discussion in core groups. Those who may have been intimidated by previous CBS studies will find this study to be very doable.
Come join us for this exciting study of God’s Word in person at Willowdale Chapel – Kennett Campus on Tuesday mornings at 9:15 am. The in-person class is for both men and women and includes a children’s program for infants through age 5 and a homeschool program. Online groups are available for both men and women Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm as well as online groups for women Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am.
