Willowdale Chapel is a nondenominational church founded in 1956. From our humble roots, we've grown to be a thriving body of 1,500 people. Today we are one church in two locations, with campuses in Kennett Square and Jennersville. We're passionate about Jesus and his Gospel, which offers the grace we all need every day. Whether they're longtime followers of Christ or just trying to figure it out for the first time, we love meeting people where they are and helping them grow in their faith.
We have all the core ministries that most churches have — children, youth and adult small groups — along with some "specialty" ministries that meet particular needs we sometimes face. Three of those — Celebrate Recovery, Re|engage (marriage) and Special Needs — offer distinctive help for some during the biggest challenges of their lives.
God intends to make all things new. That's why he sends us into the world with a gospel that touches—and begins to transform—all of life. Thus our Outreach Ministries are built on three pillars: Gospel Proclamation, Justice & Mercy, and Cultural Engagement. We organize around these key priorities to give full expression to God's love for the world.
Welcome to Willowdale. We’re glad you found us and hope you’ll check us out. As we navigate this changing world and adjust to a “new normal”, some things have had to change. But we know that our mission to love God, love each other and love the world that Jesus, through his people, is working to restore is as important today as ever.
Join us as we kick off our new series: Finding Rhythm. Let us be a church of people called out from the world’s chaos into God’s rhythm. Starting next week, we invite you to join us for a short bible passage that reflects on the scripture theme for each week of this series.
Baptism is the one rite of passage that Jesus requires of every true believer. If you haven’t been baptized, as a believer, we invite you to take the plunge and signify your faith in Jesus. Our next baptism Sunday will be July 31.
We’re made to bring glory to God and called to be disciples who make disciples. One way we pursue this is by serving those around us. There is a way and a place to serve at Willowdale and we invite you to join in the mission.
God is extending grace to the world through the local church. It is his chosen means for eternal impact, and we’re all called to be generous toward it. Your faithful giving changes lives in our local community and around the world.
As a church, not only are we serving one another in tangible ways, but we are praying for one another daily. Please share your prayer requests.
Programs for children, youth and those with special needs at each campus.
