Our Church

Willowdale Chapel is a nondenominational church founded in 1956. From our humble roots, we've grown to be a thriving body of 1,500 people. Today we are one church in two locations, with campuses in Kennett Square and Jennersville. We're passionate about Jesus and his Gospel, which offers the grace we all need every day. Whether they're longtime followers of Christ or just trying to figure it out for the first time, we love meeting people where they are and helping them grow in their faith.

We have all the core ministries that most churches have — children, youth and adult small groups — along with some "specialty" ministries that meet particular needs we sometimes face. Three of those — Celebrate Recovery, Re|engage (marriage) and Special Needs — offer distinctive help for some during the biggest challenges of their lives.

GGod intends to make all things new. That's why he sends us into the world with a gospel that touches—and begins to transform—all of life. Thus our Outreach Ministries are built on three pillars: Gospel Proclamation, Serving our Neighbors and Advocating for the Vulnerable. We organize around these key priorities to give full expression to God's love for the world.

Jennersville Campus STUDENTS

The heart of Willowdale’s student community is to create an environment where young people are challenged and motivated to love God and love others in tangible ways. 

5TH/6TH GRADE MINISTRY

We offer a ministry specifically designed for the needs of our 5th and 6th graders, called 56ers. 56ers meet on Sunday mornings from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. and on Sunday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

This 56ers ministry is designed to encourage kids to dig deeper into their faith. It is intended to be a bridge between elementary and middle school with programming similar to our middle school ministry. Together they’ll discover more about the bible, the beliefs of our church, and biblical practices such as baptism and communion. They will also learn about the overall life of the church at Willowdale through an introduction to serving opportunities and our global and local outreach partners. This of course will all be accomplished in the context of fun and relationships! We have lots of fun activities planned for the ministry season. If you have questions, please contact Jamie Lindtner.

56ERS CALENDAR

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Our Middle Schoolers meet every sunday night from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at our Jennersville Campus. The night starts with large group games and fun before breaking out into grade and gender specific small groups.

Our small groups are designed to encourage students to learn more about Jesus and to build relationships with peers and caring adults. These groups provide the oportunity for students to have fun and be themselves.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CALENDAR

HIGH SCHOOL

Our High Schoolers meet every Sunday night from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at our Jennersville Campus. The night starts with large group games and fun before breaking out into grade and gender specific small groups. Small Groups are the backbone of our High School community – it is where students go deeper in their relationship with God and with one another. Each week students meet in groups to read the Bible, apply it to life, and encourage one another in their faith. Each group is led by an adult leader. Our leaders are amazing people who have freely chosen to invest time to help nurture a lasting faith in our students. Small groups are a relaxed environment where students can reflect on who God is and what it means to follow Him.
