Our Church

Willowdale Chapel is a nondenominational church founded in 1956. From our humble roots, we've grown to be a thriving body of 1,500 people. Today we are one church in two locations, with campuses in Kennett Square and Jennersville. We're passionate about Jesus and his Gospel, which offers the grace we all need every day. Whether they're longtime followers of Christ or just trying to figure it out for the first time, we love meeting people where they are and helping them grow in their faith.

Our Ministries

We have all the core ministries that most churches have — children, youth and adult small groups — along with some "specialty" ministries that meet particular needs we sometimes face. Three of those — Celebrate Recovery, Re|engage (marriage) and Special Needs — offer distinctive help for some during the biggest challenges of their lives.

Our Outreach

GGod intends to make all things new. That's why he sends us into the world with a gospel that touches—and begins to transform—all of life. Thus our Outreach Ministries are built on three pillars: Gospel Proclamation, Serving our Neighbors and Advocating for the Vulnerable. We organize around these key priorities to give full expression to God's love for the world.

Giving: Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to give online?

Yes. Willowdale Chapel’s online giving through Willowdale Connect and our merchant, PushPay, are both Level 1 PCI DSS compliant and provide the latest technology in regards to encryption and security.

From what types of bank accounts can I give?

You can give online from your bank account (ACH) or you may use your Visa or Discover debit/credit card(s) for a credit card transaction. Master Card is not accepted by our merchant due to their high transaction fees.

Are there fees involved with online giving?

You will not pay any fees with your online contribution. Willowdale pays all fees associated with online giving. Please keep in mind that the processing fees associated with credit cards are higher for the church than with ACH transactions.

How long will it take my contribution to process?

Within 12-48 business hours of the date you requested.

I currently have a recurring gift, how do I access that information to update or cancel?

To change or cancel your recurring gifts through Willowdale Connect, you must log in to your account to access your recurring gift and then you can change or cancel accordingly.

Can I give to a specific area?

Yes! Willowdale Chapel has three funds to which you can give: Ministry, Care, and Building Funds. Our Ministry Fund is an unrestricted fund and is used to support our operations, ministries and local and global outreach. Our Care Fund is a restricted fund used to help those in our body with acute financial needs. Our Building Fund is a restricted fund that is used toward expansion and renovation.

What is the deadline for annual contributions?

Cash and check contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31st to be included on your giving statement for that year. Online transactions must be initiated by 11:59 pm ET on December 31st to be included. Will I receive an Annual Giving Statement for tax purposes?

Yes. Your giving history is confidentially maintained by our Business Office. Willowdale Chapel will email your Giving Statement covering all of your tax-deductible donations by January 31 of each year to use when filing your taxes for the prior year.
