Note for our Tuesday morning groups:  Service is built into our time in our groups, as a natural outpouring of our relationship with Christ.  We request that each of our women serve one morning this semester in our children’s program, modeling Jesus’ love for our little ones.

The Power of Praise:  A Study of Psalm 103

Join us as we go through Sue Nicodem’s study of Psalm 103 and dig into this favorite Psalm, where King David gushes with praise to God for his goodness. You’ll find yourself growing deeper in your love and gratitude to God. Through daily homework and group discussion, we’ll memorize Psalm 103 and have it in our heart for years to come. Each week we’ll meditate on two verses from Psalm 103. Learning God’s word allows the Holy Spirit to bring it to mind and align our lives with its truth and power. This study includes live teaching, daily homework, group discussion, and opportunities to fellowship with other Christian women. Questions focus on the daily reading and application questions for your own life. Homework should take approximately 15 minutes per day for five days.

Practicing the Way

Two thousand years ago, Jesus said to his disciples, “follow me.” But what does it mean for us to follow Jesus today? The Practicing the Way Course, by John Mark Comer, is an on-ramp to spiritual formation, exploring what it means to follow Jesus and laying the foundation for a life of apprenticeship to him. The course is designed to help get you started on the journey of spiritual formation, help you get unstuck if you’ve stalled out, or just guide you into taking your next step. Ultimately, its goal is to train you to live as an apprentice of Jesus: to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did.

Join us as we work through this eight-session course, watching the video teachings and working through the Companion Guide as we develop a weekly rhythm of learn, practice, reflect, and process together. We will Learn about the way of Jesus in our group, Practice on your own with spiritual exercises using your Companion Guide, Reflect on your own your experience with God, and Process together as a group what is coming up for you through your experience.  We also recommend reading the book “Practicing the Way” by John Mark Comer alongside the course with readings for those who want to dive deeper.

The Life of Christ: A Discovery Bible study

Join us as we study great texts across all four gospels that span Jesus’ life.  Passages are selected that will engage discussion and draw out deeper thinking.  You’ll explore a mix of parables, miracles and passages that show Jesus’ humanity and deity. Our goal is to learn God’s heart, revealed to us in the Bible, while getting to know each other’s hearts revealed through our conversations.  This is how God changes and grows us, which is why we say “Discovery Bible Groups are where we are transformed by God’s word together.”

We will connect on Zoom and lessons will take less than an hour of preparation each week. There will be an opportunity to meet in person and to participate in a service project.
