Note for our Wednesday morning groups: Service is built into our time in our groups, as a natural outpouring of our relationship with Christ. We request that each of our women serve one morning this semester in our children’s program, modeling Jesus’ love for our little ones.
Closer Look at Jesus through the Book of James
Join us as we dive into the book of James – a powerful, practical letter that shows what real faith looks like in everyday life. Discover how to live out your faith with wisdom, humility, and action. From taming the tongue to trusting God in trials, James challenges us to be doers of the Word, not just hearers.
The study includes live teaching, daily homework and group discussion plus great opportunities to fellowship with other Christian women. Questions focus on the daily reading and application questions for your own life. There are 4 days of homework (15 minutes each day) and a fifth day with spiritual practices to deepen your walk with Christ.

Practicing the Way: Be with Jesus. Become like him. Do as he did.
by John Mark Comer
This study offers a modern approach to spiritual formation, addressing the challenges of living as a disciple in today’s world. Learn what it means to be a true disciple and align your life with Jesus’s teachings and practices. The study can help you get unstuck if you’ve stalled out or just guide you into taking your next step. The goal is to have you live as an apprentice of Jesus by being with Jesus, becoming like him and doing as he did. This 9-week study by John Mark Comer, New York Times bestselling author of The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, was the winner of the Christian Book Award. If you’ve explored spiritual disciplines before but are looking for more support to make them a consistent part of your daily life, this study is for you.
You will receive a book and a companion guide at our first session. On Thursday nights we will watch a video and have interactive discussions. Between sessions we will “put into practice” the disciplines and reflect on our experiences. We encourage you to begin reading the book as soon as possible, and we can make arrangements to get it to you this summer. There will be opportunities to participate in a service project and social event.

Heroes of Faith
by Douglas Connelly
Abraham and Sarah, Noah, Rahab…All very familiar names and stories. But have you ever taken time to dig deep into their lives and apply attributes from their character to your life? Hebrews 11 gives us a list of role models: ordinary people who trusted God in radical ways. This study looks at each hero mentioned in Hebrews 11. You will learn and grow as you read the passage in Hebrews and the corresponding story from the Old Testament and then answer questions. We hope this study will encourage you, inspire you and help deepen your own trust in our great God who still keeps all his promises, so that you might live out your faith in radical ways today.
You will receive your study guide at our first session. For this study there will be scripture readings and study questions that will take about 1 hour each week to complete. On Thursday evenings we will discuss the study questions and there will be opportunities to participate in a service project and social event.

Keep it Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All
By Karen Ehman
Have you ever said something you wished you could take back? Keep It Shut is a six-session, video-based small group Bible study that explores how to control the tongue. In this study, New York Times bestselling author Karen Ehman gives women practical, biblically-based steps to learn the essential practice of using words more constructively. Each session features different characters from the Bible, using them either as an example of someone to emulate or whose verbal actions we should avoid replicating. Gain practical insights into breaking habits of gossip, flattery, verbal retaliation and people-pleasing. Finally, learn to reduce regret and relational tension and deepen your relationship with God.
You will receive your study guide and book at our first session. Between-session study questions and reading will take about 1/2 hour daily to complete. When we meet, we will watch the weekly video and use the study guide and book for our discussion. There will be opportunities to participate in a service project and social event.
