Closer Look at Jesus through the Gospel of Matthew

Whether you are new to your faith or a seasoned follower of Jesus, it is sometimes important to go back to the basics – the time that Jesus walked and taught on earth. The book of Matthew shows us how Jesus is both the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesies and our coming King. This 10-week study will focus on who Jesus says He is as well as how He wants us to live in our community now. The study includes live teaching, daily homework, group discussion, and opportunities to fellowship with other Christian women. Questions focus on the daily reading and application questions for your own life. (Homework should take approximately 15 minutes per day for five days.

Encounters with Jesus: Unexpected Answers to Life’s Biggest Questions

We look for answers to life’s questions every day and what we don’t realize is that the answers to many of these questions are in the interactions Jesus had with ordinary people. In Encounters With Jesus, New York Times bestselling author and renowned pastor Tim Keller shows how people were changed when they met Jesus personally, how we can be changed today through our own encounter with him and how this can help answer some big life questions.

For this study, you will receive your book at our first session. Each week we’ll read one or two chapters in the book which will take about an hour a week. Questions for discussion will be emailed each week prior to the study session. There will be an opportunity to participate in a service project and social night.

Emotionally Healthy Relationships

We are plagued by broken relationships and unresolved conflicts. We are good at pretending things are fine because we’re concerned about being “nice”. Many of us have not learned healthy relational skills as part of our discipleship. The Emotionally Healthy Relationships Course, written by Pete and Geri Scazzero, equips us with practical skills to transform our lives and relationships. These skills are essential for building a healthy church, community and family, where our love for one another is so distinct that the world will know that Jesus is alive today.

Each study session will include a video and small group discussion. For this course, there will be assigned reading that will take about an hour each week, plus time practicing skills learned in the sessions. You will receive your course book and devotional at our first session. There will have an opportunity to participate in a service project and social night.

Loving Jesus: Understanding Jesus and Ourselves through Eight Great Stories

Join us as we look at the life of Christ that epitomize his love for us. He is the great lover of our souls. The real Jesus is the truly loving Jesus. We love God only because he first loved us (1 John 4:19). This course paints a picture of that love while also equipping us with a method of Bible study that we encourage everyone in our church to use regularly.

This study is online and will meet on Zoom. Two books will be used for this study: the study guide and the Emotionally Healthy Spirituality devotional. Lessons will take less than an hour of preparation each week. There will be an opportunity to meet in person and to participate in a service project.
